About us

Photonic Materials and Technology (PMT)group, led by Prof Tao Ding, is a multidisciplinary group, focusing on light-matter interactions from materials and technology perspective. The research topics mainly include photonic crystals, colloidal plasmonics, plasmon chemistry and light-directed processes. On the one hand, we aim to exploit novel materials/nanostructures to control the flow of subwavelength light, on the other hand, we apply optics to develop novel technology for making functional nanomaterials and nanodevices.
We are seeking highly motivated talents with background of physics chemistry, optic engineering, polymer science to join us to pursue their PhD and postdoc careers all over the year. Please send us your CV if you think you are the right person we are looking for.

  • Research within PMT. Find your interest here.

  • PMTers are collaborative and supportive as a team. You might be the next person!

  • I don't mind that you think slowly, but I do mind that you publish faster than you think.

  • Cross the boundary between physics and chemistry.
