We are working on this. 1.An intresting book, Methematical Methods of Theoretical Physics You may think this book is very hard to understand just when looking at it's contents, and indeed it is. This book has a lot materials that you will not learn in this course, even though these materials are necessary for a physicist. I suggest you begin with, Chapter 8, Part III, where the author gives a brief review of complex analysis. He summrizes complex analysis in a good way, it may give you some insights about this subject. Of course both this book and this course are difficult to learn, that's one reason why this course is important for you. But don't be too upset if you don't understand some materials, just as the author said in the introduction, "At the end of the day, everything will be fine, and in the long run we will be dead anyway." Enjoy! |
